ในทุกๆปี มีขยะพลาสติกหลายล้านตันรั่วไหลลงสู่ท้องทะเล และสร้างความเสียหายให้กับระบบนิเวศทางทะเลไปอย่างแสนสาหัส ไม่ว่าจะเป็นอุปกรณ์ทางการประมงที่ถูกทิ้งลงสู่ท้องทะเล หรือขยะจากชุมชนที่ไหลจากแม่น้ำลำคลองลงสู่ทะเล เหล่านี้ได้สร้างผลกระทบและทรมานสัตว์ให้ได้รับบาดเจ็บจนถึงขั้นเสียชีวิต อย่างจะเห็นตามข่าวว่ามีสัตว์ต่างๆไม่ว่าจะเป็น ปลาวาฬ นกทะเล ปลา เต่า ที่ได้กลืนกินขยะพลาสติกเหล่านี้เข้าไปจนทำให้ถึงแก่ความตาย

ด้วยเหตุนี้ ทางกลุ่มบริษัท Teamplas Group มีเป้าหมายที่จะช่วยรักษาระบบนิเวศทางทะเล และป้องกันไม่ให้ขยะพลาสติกเหล่านี้รั่วไหลออกสู่สิ่งแวดล้อม ทางเราได้ร่วมมือและเป็นพาร์ทเนอร์กับทาง EJF (Environmental Justice Foundation) ในโครงการทะเลปลอดอวน (Net Free Seas) เพื่อที่จะป้องกันปัญหาขยะทะเลรั่วไหลงสู่ระบบนิเวศ รวมไปถึงได้พัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของชาวประมงให้ดีขึ้นอีกด้วย

Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste enter the ocean and aggressively impact our ecosystem. But the major threats to aquatic life is abandoned fishing equipment and land-based debris coming from overflowing sewers. These plastic debris impact hundreds of marine species by suffocating and entangling them causing severe injuries and death. Some marine wildlife such as seabirds, whales, fish and turtles mistakenly ingest plastic waste and die of starvation as their stomachs become filled with plastic. 

Eagerly to save the ecosystem, we partner with EJF (Environmental Justice Foundation) in a project called, “Net Free Sea”helping free some debris and old fishery equipments from the ocean. Besides keeping the ocean clean, this project also improve local fishermen communities by generating more passive incomes.
